Privacy Policy — DocuFlex

DocuFlex (“the App”) respects your privacy and is designed with a privacy-first and local-first architecture. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

DocuFlex does not require account registration and does not directly collect personal information from users.

The App may access certain device features and files only to provide its core functionality, including:

• Camera access for scanning documents
• File and media access for opening, editing, importing, exporting, and saving PDF files and images
• OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processing for extracting text from scanned documents

1. Local Processing

DocuFlex is designed to process documents locally on your device whenever possible.

This includes:

• PDF editing
• OCR text recognition
• Image processing
• Signature handling
• PDF compression
• PDF merging and splitting
• Document conversion
• Export operations

Your files and documents are not uploaded to DocuFlex servers.

1. Data Storage

Files created, scanned, imported, or edited in DocuFlex are stored locally on your device or in locations selected by you.

DocuFlex does not provide cloud storage services for user documents.

1. Permissions

DocuFlex may request the following Android permissions:

Camera Permission

Used only for scanning documents and capturing images.

Storage and Media Permissions

Used for:

• Opening files
• Saving PDF documents
• Exporting files
• Importing images and documents
• Local backup and restore functionality

Permissions are used solely to support app functionality.

1. Advertising

The free version of DocuFlex may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

Google AdMob may collect limited device and advertising-related information as described in Google’s privacy documentation.

Advertisements are disabled for users who purchase DocuFlex Premium.

1. In-App Purchases

DocuFlex may offer optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing.

Purchases may be used to unlock Premium features, including:

• Ad-free experience
• Current Premium features
• Future Premium features and enhancements

Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. DocuFlex does not collect or store payment card information.

1. Third-Party Services

DocuFlex may use third-party services and libraries including:

• Google AdMob (advertising)
• Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)
• PDF processing libraries
• OCR libraries
• File handling libraries
• Device compatibility libraries

These services are used only to support app functionality.

DocuFlex does not sell, rent, or share your documents or personal information with third parties.

DocuFlex is not intended for children under the age of 13.

DocuFlex minimizes external data transmission by prioritizing local device processing and storage whenever possible.

However, users are responsible for securing access to their own devices and files.
